Letter from the Editors: Issue 14

Dear reader,

Graphic by Julia Koeman '25

It seems even though it took time, spring has finally sprung. We have arrived at the better part of Spring Term: May! For us Sixth Formers, it is our last full month on this beautiful campus, and suddenly the countdown to graduation seems to be moving faster than we anticipated.

So let’s make May the month for memories. Check those last things off your bucket list. And remember: try to say yes to as many things as possible. Of course, take that last piece of advice with a grain of salt, but try your best to be open to anything and everything. We know that for many it's hard to balance all of the different commitments at St. Paul’s. For those of you constantly on the grind, please do us a favor and sacrifice some of your precious studying time to go to the boat docks with your friends or socialize on the Lower School Pond docks. That’s right, when Millville day comes we expect all of you to be on that unicorn! That doesn’t mean don’t do your work, but rather when opportunities are presented to you– take them.

I wish we had more wisdom to share, but as we mentioned before all we can really do is just be present here in this moment. Especially as seniors we have had to do a lot of reflecting throughout the entire college process: focusing on the past as well as what we want our future to look like. And while that was all very important, we’ve finally made it past May 1st, 2024. No matter where you may be going next year, or how you may be feeling about the next four years, let’s not worry about that now. We will never get this May back. What a unique opportunity we have to appreciate and take in the current beauty of campus and the people.
