Top 5 Spring Spirit Week Outfits

Spirit Week is the culmination of our school spirit. It is divided into six days with the opportunity to show off unique outfits. As a Third Former, I have front-row seats to the incredible fashion show that is Twin Day. You never know who might be wearing something outlandish or incredibly entertaining. Twin Day offers the most room to let your imagination roam wild and is, therefore, my favorite day. The only structure to Twin Days is that you must have a partner (or two). I have no qualification to judge this year’s Twin Day outfits, but I am self-appointing myself anyway. I will judge on three criteria: creativity, humor, and execution.

#5: Motun Odukoya ‘27 and Emma Cho ‘27, The Chipettes.

Odukoya and Cho came into Chapel wearing bear ears, tutus, and signs that read “Chipette #1” and “Chipette #2.” Mirroring the iconic girl counterparts of Alvin and the Chipmunks, they displayed great creativity by utilizing tutus and bear ears to piece together their magnificent outfits. For the execution, I believe there was a missed opportunity to include a third Chipette, but otherwise, it was a great outfit.

#4: Cole Edwards ‘24 and Lucas Ding ‘24, Rush Hour.

Edwards and Ding twinned as one of the most iconic dynamic duos. They dressed in all-black outfits and, more importantly, remade the movie poster. They nailed the costumes with perfect execution. It was an all-around solid outfit.

#3: Sebastian Brigham ‘24 and Sam Ekstrand ‘24, Sam Ekstrand.

Brigham stole Will Ekstrand’s place, putting the “twin” in Twin Day. Brigham and Sam Ekstrand wore the same blue collared shirt, and Brigham tried on the Sam Ekstrand trademarked Oakley squash glasses for the day. They even had matching backpacks on. This is one of the funniest and best-executed Twin Day outfits, but it was a repeat outfit. Sam Ekstrand and Brigham did the same outfit for Twin Day this fall, so as a result, their ranking is lowered.

#2: Lila Coleman ‘24, Lidia Zur Muhlen ‘24, and Pierce Trevisani ‘25, The Lacrosse Pandas.

Coleman, Zur Muhlen, and Trevisani matched in white shirts and black shorts. They decided to carry around d-pole lacrosse sticks all around campus (Trevisani opted out). I didn’t even think carrying lacrosse sticks into Chapel was possible, so I’m sure their outfits took everyone by surprise. Trevisani should have had a lacrosse stick.

#1: Gretta White ‘25 and Abbey Edwards, Ms. Edwards.

The winners of Twin Day are White and Edwards. Acknowledging the rumors of White being a long-lost relative of Edwards, they duo’ed up and showed off an incredibly hilarious outfit. They wore matching Patagonia, long skirts, and matching sunglasses. This outfit is the pinnacle of what Twin Day should be, knocking every judging criteria out of the park.
